ALL ABOUT EVE (1950). “Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a rough night.” Rightly cherished for its sequence of bitchiness, backstabbing and emotional cruelty, this is a cracking film about ambition, vanity and treachery, with Bette Davis, George Sanders and Anne Baxter. It’s one of those, ‘they don’t make them like this any more’ films.
