ACE VENTURA: PET DETECTIVE (1994). I fully sympathise with anyone who finds Jim Carrey annoying. It’s just that I think he’s funny. In his first film, he gurns like a good ‘un, falls over, does impersonations, and occasionally tracks down missing pets. Idiots of all ages will enjoy it. (The sequel, inevitably, is less funny).
