THE ACCIDENTAL TOURIST (1988). It’s not a great film, but there’s something very appealing about the mixture of grief, isolation and romance, and Lawrence Kasdan does make us believe in the possibility of love between a mismatched couple. William Hurt and Kathleen Turner are a husband and wife whose lives and marriage have been destroyed by the random murder of their son. Geena Davis is the kooky dog trainer who changes things. Give it a go.
