One of the most romantic films I've seen, and it was directed by Ken Loach. A modern day Romeo and Juliet situation set in Glasgow, where a young Pakistani guy and a Catholic girl fall in love and discover just how complicated that makes life. His family, who have been preparing an arranged marriage are distraught, while she faces prejudice o her side of the divide. As you'd expect, the racial politics are upfront; what is more unpredictable is the tenderness of the love affair, which had me going goo goo by the end.
