Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to tell you that this is as good as or better than Juno or Up In The Air, the last 2 films directed by Jason Reitman, who made this (from a script by Diablo Cody who wrote Juno), but I cannot tell a lie. While I enjoyed it moderately, I was left feeling shortchanged and underwhelmed.

Carnage

Roman Polanski will be 80 next year. He directed his first film 50 years ago. Chinatown is one of the great all time movies. This is his new film. It's based on a stage play (and it shows). It has an impressive cast. I don't think I enjoyed it very much, but it's not a bad film. Is it worth seeing? Possibly.

Lion King 3D

Hamlet meets David Attenborough in this reissue of a Disney 'classic' from 1994. The excuse for this is that it is now in 3D, a justification that fails to justify itself in the cinema.
